CeraVe Moisturizing Cream for Acne 12 OZ Tub

Last updated: November 16th, 2019

CeraVe Moisturizing Cream is one of the most popular, well-reviewed and enjoyable skincare products that I’ve used. Just about everyone has heard of CeraVe. But, many people are still unaware that you can use CeraVe Moisturizing Cream to prevent acne, and in some cases, reduce the appearance of existing acne on your face.

So, this is a quick article that reveals how you can use CeraVe Moisturizing Cream to stop acne, hydrate your skin on a deep level, and maintain an anti-aging routine that’s used by Hollywood celebrities.

Here we go…

How to use CeraVe Moisturizing Cream for acne

To use CeraVe Moisturizing Cream for acne, you’ll first want to make sure that you’re covering the fundamentals of good skincare.

It’s important to remember that CeraVe Moisturizing Cream is in fact a moisturizer.

So, you’ll first have to optimize your skincare routine.

Then, you can use CeraVe Moisturizing Cream as an important secondary tool for locking in moisture on your face, keeping your pores open, and fighting acne.

If your acne is severe, I’ve actually written an article about how you can fight cystic acne. But, even if your acne is mild – the same principles apply.

The key is to fighting acne involves focusing on the fundamentals, and making sure that you’re:

  1. Cleansing
  2. Exfoliating
  3. Using a spot treatment
  4. Moisturizing
  5. Using sunscreen

If you’re cleansing, exfoliating, spot treating, moisturizing and using sunscreen on your skin, then you’re essentially doing everything that you can to fight acne.

Of course, you should also focus on your diet, hygiene, fitness, nutritional supplements etc.

But, this article focuses on the importance of moisturizing when it comes to fighting acne.

Because, using a good moisturizer will keep your pores open, and help prevent blemishes from forming.

By using a good moisturizer on your face, you’ll drastically improve the odds that your skin appears healthy, hydrated and acne-free.

Why CeraVe Moisturizing Cream is a great moisturizer for keeping your face acne-free

CeraVe Moisturizing Cream for Acne Ingredients

CeraVe Moisturizing Cream is excellent because it’s high-quality, affordable, and readily available.

It also feels amazing on your skin, and I use it both morning and night.

However, I will admit that many people prefer to use CeraVe Moisturizing Cream only at night, since the cream can feel pretty heavy for daytime use. It can also make it hard for you to apply makeup, since the cream is pretty thick, and feels a bit heavy on your face.

But, I still use CeraVe Moisturizing Cream on my face all the time regardless, because I really enjoy the quality of this product.

Plus, here’s the biggest benefit of using CeraVe Moisturizing Cream in my opinion:

CeraVe Moisturizing Cream contains hyaluronic acid, which hydrates your skin on an extremely deep level.

Hyaluronic acid is one of the greatest anti-aging ingredients that you can use on your face.

CeraVe Moisturizing Cream also contains ceramides, which is another excellent ingredient that provides powerful benefits as a supplement to acne treatment.

Where to get a tub of CeraVe Moisturizing Cream

You probably know exactly where to find a tub of CeraVe Moisturizing Cream. It’s available literally everywhere.

But, I’ll give you my preferred sources for CeraVe Moisturizing Cream right now.

You can swing by your local Target supermarket and find it immediately. That’s probably the easiest way to get a hold of CeraVe for a relatively affordable price.

If you’re an online shopper, keep in mind that CeraVe Moisturizing Cream is available on Amazon. Amazon often has better prices than the big box retailers, so I usually get my CeraVe from Amazon.

It’s also worth noting that iHerb is an excellent place to get CeraVe Moisturizing Cream as well. I enjoy iHerb because they list product expiration dates on their website, so that you always know you’re getting a “fresh” product.

Amazon carries the 12 OZ tub at this time, while iHerb carries a 16 OZ tub. Either option should work great for you.

Overall, the hype that surrounds CeraVe Moisturizing Cream is definitely justified.

This is an awesome product that genuinely deserves all of the praise it receives. I love it so much that I use it as my #1 go-to moisturizer day in and day out.

And, CeraVe Moisturizing Cream can definitely be used to help you keep your skin acne-free – when it’s combined with a few other products (think cleansers, spot treatments, and sunscreen).

So, if you haven’t already – make sure to pick up a tub of CeraVe Moisturizing Cream today, and find out what you’ve been missing!

How about The parabens that are in this product?

You make a great point Sheila. Parabens aren’t great. With that being said, the skincare industry is still loaded with parabens, and it’s really hard to avoid them. CeraVe has been safely used for a very long time, so at the very least, we know that CeraVe is one of the safer and more trustworthy skin creams out there. I know it’s not perfect…but it’s definitely a world-class product.
