And, I want to give you a quick overview of this steamer so that you can cook healthy food quick, cheap and easy too.
Yes, this is my Aroma Rice Cooker and Food Steamer review, which reveals everything you need to know about the best rice steamer of 2020…
10 truths you should know about the Aroma Rice Cooker and Food Steamer
There are 10 truths that you need to know about the Aroma Rice Cooker and Food Steamer.
Just keep reading to see all 10 truths (the good, bad and everything in-between)…
Truth 1. It cooks good quality rice and steams vegetables at the same time
Easy-to-cook and delicious food is probably the most important result that you’re looking for in a rice cooker and food steamer, right?
Luckily, the Aroma Rice Cooker and Food Steamer (14 Cup Cooked) helps you cook rice and steam vegetables at the same exact time.
This kitchen gadget is so helpful for dieting, living a healthier lifestyle, and feeding your entire family.
I mean, even if I don’t feel like eating vegetables, I’ll almost always steam some veggies while I cook my rice. Because, If I don’t do this, I would feel like I’m wasting an opportunity to cook healthy food.
Also, keep in mind that this rice cooker and food steamer cooks all varieties of rice and vegetables. You can use it to cook brown rice, quinoa, white rice, frozen spinach, green beans, leeks (one of the world’s healthiest foods), carrots and more.
Note: Keep in mind that tiny veggies like peas and corn will most likely fall through the ventilation holes in your food steamer. Bummer, I know (but this is only a minor inconvenience).
Truth 2. It’s the lazy person’s favorite tool for preparing meals
I recommend the 14 Cup Aroma Rice Cooker and Food Steamer over the 6 Cup Aroma Rice Cooker and Food Steamer because rice can stay relatively fresh in your refrigerator for almost a week. Plus, it isn’t that hard to go through 14 cups of cooked rice in a week.
This has to be the absolute easiest kitchen appliance for prepping meals.
Sometimes, I’ll cook quinoa in my rice cooker, and then mix it with a can of Amy’s Organic Chili if I’m feeling extra lazy.
I don’t know how eating healthy can get much easier than that.
Truth 3. It’s fast and low-maintenance
It takes me about 15 to 20 minutes to cook a few cups of jasmine rice (while also steaming vegetables) using this rice cooker and food steamer.
What’s also really nice about this rice steamer is that when your food is finished cooking, the machine will automatically switch to ‘warm’ mode.
This means that you don’t have to babysit at all while your rice cooks.
You can simply add some rice and liquid to the machine, take care of whatever you need to around the house, and then come back to find your rice cooked shortly thereafter.
This is a super low-maintenance product that just makes life easier.
Truth 4. It’s cost-effective
The Aroma Rice Cooker and Food Steamer (14 Cups Cooked) is one of the most competitively priced cooker/steamer combo appliances available.
For the relatively small price that you’ll pay for this appliance, you’ll most likely save hundreds of hours of time that you would’ve spent manually cooking rice on the stove top.
It’s well worth the relatively tiny investment.
Truth 5. It also works great for cooking soups, chili, noodles and even eggs
I’ve always liked the variety of food options that you have to choose from when it comes to cooking with a rice cooker and food steamer.
Sometimes, I’d rather toss a can of organic chili into my rice cooker, let it heat up for 5 to 10 minutes, and then come back and eat.
If I feel like having eggs, then I add them to the Aroma’s steamer tool.
Yes, you can use this Aroma Rice Cooker and Food Steamer (14 Cup Cooked) model to make hard boiled eggs.
To make hard boiled eggs with your rice steamer, simply add your eggs to the upper chamber of the rice steamer, cook your rice as usual, and voila. You’ve got hard boiled eggs.
Truth 6. It’s perfect for all ages and skill levels
Here’s one of my favorite aspects of the Aroma Rice Cooker and Food Steamer:
The product is so easy for anyone to use. You only have a switch with two options (‘Cook’ and ‘Warm’) and that’s all.
No need to set up a timer. No need to mess with digital controls.
For certain appliances, I truly believe that having less options just makes life easier. I can say that’s 100% true for this rice cooker and food steamer product.
Truth 7. It’s usually pretty easy to clean
The Aroma Rice Cooker and Food Steamer contains a removable pot for cooking rice, and a separate removable steamer for cooking vegetables and other goodies.
Because each of the Aroma’s parts are removable and separate, the appliance is usually pretty easy to clean as a whole.
After I finish cooking some rice and vegetables, I just rinse both removable parts with hot water and soap, let them dry on the rack, and I’m good to go again.
If you forget to rinse the removable parts after cooking, that’s when you might run into problems. It’s sometimes easy for burnt rice to stick to the bottom of the removable pot. So, make sure to rinse your rice cooker’s removable parts as soon as you finish cooking (and you should have no problem).
Truth 8. It’s durable
I’ve used my Aroma Rice Cooker and Food Steamer for two years so far, and it’s still going strong.
Some internet users occasionally complain about receiving a faulty Aroma product. But, that seems to be a pretty rare scenario.
For the most part, people who purchase an Aroma product (including myself) are extremely happy with the results.
The product is high-quality and durable. Especially for the price that you pay.
Truth 9. It’s best to use chicken broth when cooking rice in the Aroma Rice Cooker and Food Steamer
The Aroma Rice Cooker and Food Steamer calls for two premeasured cups of liquid for every single cup of rice that you use. So, the ratio is 2:1 (liquid to uncooked rice).
However, I recommend using chicken broth as your liquid for the Aroma Cooker/Steamer, because chicken broth will make your rice taste incredibly better than if you were to use water.
It’s also important to keep in mind that you should measure your rice and liquids using the cup that Aroma provides with the cooker/steamer. The cup that Aroma provides has specific measurements on it that pertains to the device.
Truth 10. It’s the best rice and vegetable steamer for the price (Aroma Rice Cooker and Food Steamer Review Conclusion)
People usually say that “you get what you pay for,” right?
Well, I don’t think traditional wisdom works in this case…
Because with the Aroma Rice Cooker and Food Steamer, you pay a relatively small price, and you get multiple years worth of lazy-yet-healthy food cooking potential.
It’s one of my favorite household products, and I know it’s going to make your life incredibly healthier, easier and better, too.
