If you’re in search of amazing brightening eye cream for dark circles in 2020 and beyond, this article will serve you well…
Because today, I’m listing out the top 5 eye zone creams that can genuinely help you diminish the appearance of your dark circles.
But first – let’s cover some important information about what you should look for in a good eye cream.
(Don’t worry. I list the 5 top eye creams a little bit further down in the article).
A good eye cream that brightens or lightens the dark circles underneath your eyes will be a product that works gradually over time.
There are thousands of brightening creams for eyes. But, there are only a handful of eye creams that actually give you positive results over the course of a few weeks.
The very best brightening eye creams work by lightening the pigment underneath your eyes, smoothing over wrinkles, healing damage caused by sunlight, and even tightening your skin (to diminish the appearance of blood vessels).
You should look for the following ingredients in eye creams:
Keep in mind that eye creams contain special formulations of these ingredients specifically because the skin underneath your eyes is so thin.
The skin around your eyes is seriously prone to dryness and irritation.
So, good eye creams will be gentle enough for use on one of the most sensitive areas of your body.
Okay, ready to get started with my list of the top 5 brightening eye creams?
The following eye creams fit all budgets and skin types.
Here we go…
L’Occitane Immortelle Divine Eyes is a powerhouse eye cream that reduced the appearance of dark circles in 81% of women who were tested. That’s why this is the very best brightening eye cream for gradually improving your dark circles.
If this eye cream works for 4 out of 5 women who were given a satisfaction test – there’s a very good chance that it can work for you, too.
In addition to reducing the appearance of your dark eye circles, L’Occitane Immortelle Divine Eyes can make your eye zone appear more youthful, firm and evenly toned.
This formula works because it contains the mystical immortelle flower, which was given its name because of the fact that the immortelle flower never fades, even after it’s picked. In addition to the immortelle flower, this eye cream contains 7 other plant-derived ingredients. Give it a try, and you’ll most likely be happy you did so.
Mario Badescu Hyaluronic Eye Cream is a luxury beauty product that comes at a budget-friendly value.
This is a hyaluronic eye cream that’s intended to gently lock in moisture around your eyes, and make your skin look younger, softer and more hydrated.
In other words, your eyes will look brighter with this eye cream on.
Make sure to apply this eye cream to the corner of your eyes, and then work your way underneath your eyes for best results. Many women have dark shadows that begin in the corner of the eye – so it’s important that you cover your corners well.
La-Roche Posay Hydraphase Intense Eye Cream is a 24-hour super moisturizer that helps you diminish the appearance of eye bags and general eye puffiness.
It contains fragmented hyaluronic acid, caffeine, glycol and various other ingredients that intensely hydrate the skin surrounding your eyes.
Because fragmented hyaluronic acid retains upwards of 1000 times its weight in water, your skin will almost immediately look more refreshed as soon as you put this eye cream on.
I think you’re going to enjoy this one.
AHAVA Time to Revitalize Extreme Firming Eye Cream is the eye cream that you need to use if you suffer from sun damage, wrinkles or even just natural age spots in your eye zone.
This special cream contains a blend of Dead Sea minerals, glycol, witch hazel, shea butter and various other ingredients that actively work to firm the skin around your eyes, and make it appear more radiant.
While this eye cream is a little bit “far down” on the list…don’t be alarmed. Many people claim that AHAVA Extreme Firming Eye Cream is the best eye cream that they’ve used. This is still an excellent anti-aging eye cream for women of all skin types.
Icelandic Relief Eye Cream is an eye cream that I personally love because of the skyn company’s unique swagger – and how effective this product truly is for most people.
(Just read the poetic description on this eye cream’s packaging. LOL. It perfectly describes the modern woman’s working life.)
Anyway, most importantly, the Icelandic Relief Eye Cream focuses on restoring skin that’s been damaged by stress. And, as you already know, life is extremely stressful for most of us. So, you almost certainly have some stress-related eye issues that this cream can help you improve.
This eye cream specifically attacks eye bags, wrinkles and puffiness. Sound good? Try some Icelandic Relief Eye Cream, and you’ll at least get to have a laugh while you improve your looks.
It takes time to diminish the appearance of dark circles underneath your eyes.
But, there’s an old saying that seems really relevant right now. It goes something like:
The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.
– Chinese proverb
Regardless of your age, skin type, or life experience – you can start treating your dark circles right now, and make things right.
If you start right now, you’ll almost certainly be happy you did so a little bit further down the road.
So, go ahead and snag some good eye cream, and I’ll see you on the other side.

Acne scars are literally a pain to deal with. They make you look and feel worse than any human being should ever have to put up with.
But, the 5 best products for fading acne scars on this list contain ingredients like vitamin C, niacinamide, retinol and other compounds that are proven to help you get rid of dark marks and scars in the year 2020 and beyond…
Ready to see the full list of products that can help you fade acne scars?
Here we go…
Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum is a high-quality vitamin C serum that can help you fade your Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH).
In fact, acne scars are typically a result of PIH – which is simply your skin’s natural method of responding to acne.
When you use a good vitamin C serum like Drunk Elephant’s C-Firma, you’ll help to brighten and even out your skin tone, and gradually fade your acne scars with time.
Keep in mind that vitamin C is considered a potent antioxidant drug in dermatology. So, while most people think of lemonade when they hear vitamin C – I actually envision the best solution for getting rid of dark spots and similar marks on your body.
Paula’s Choice RESIST 10% Niacinamide Booster obviously contains niacinamide, which is an ingredient that’s been shown to significantly reduce the appearance of inflammatory acne and acne scars over time.
Interestingly, many people don’t realize that niacinamide is just a form of vitamin B3. So, this product contains a hefty dose of a nourishing vitamin that evens out your skin tone.
While niacinamide is commonly found in moisturizers, it’s smart to keep a concentrated bottle of niacinamide on hand for the most effective scar-fighting potential.
Body Merry Retinol Surge Moisturizer needs to be a product in your skincare routine, because retinol is an extremely important ingredient in the fight against acne scars.
Retinol is a form of vitamin A that can help you smooth over acne scars, and diminish the appearance of almost anything that appears out of place on your skin.
Just make sure that you apply this product while your skin is clean and dry for best results.
You’ll also want to keep it on for at least 30 minutes. Or, just keep it on all day. This product is a moisturizer that helps to keep your skin soft and free of acne scars.
Badger All Natural Sunscreen is a must-have product for protecting your skin while healing your acne scars.
Because, the truth is that your skin is going to be extremely sensitive while you’re using a range of products to get rid of pesky acne scars.
So, you actually need to use a high-quality sunscreen if you hope to reduce the appearance of acne scars. Otherwise, all of your hard work will go to waste.
I love Badger All Natural Sunscreen because it contains zinc oxide, which acts as a physical mineral-based barrier, rather than a chemical barrier.
This is great for your skin, because it provides a healthy alternative to using chemical sunscreen ingredients that flood your body with toxins. Ironically, some people believe that using chemical sunscreens can even cause skin cancer to form.
So, make sure to protect your skin, and be smart about how you protect your skin. Otherwise, you could have a host of new problems to deal with that are far worse than acne scars.
Alpha Skin Care Rejuvenating Serum with 14% Glycolic AHA is a potent exfoliating serum that helps to knock off the dead skin cells surrounding your acne scars, and uncover fresh, new skin cells.
This helps to turn over younger, healthier and fresher looking skin in all the right places – especially where your acne scars happen to be.
For best results, use this rejuvenating AHA serum while your skin is dry, and then cover with your normal moisturizer.
Also, keep in mind that you’ll definitely need to pair this product with a sunscreen. Alpha hydroxy acid can make your skin extra-sensitive, so you’ll want to protect your skin very well before heading outside.
I know first-hand how painful it can be to deal with dark skin pigmentations, acne scars and similar conditions.
It’s not fun.
However, by using the best products for fading acne scars listed in this article, you’ll almost certainly enjoy better-looking skin relatively quickly.
You’ll be able to fade your acne scars and pigmentations over time – and feel 100% beautiful again.

One problem that I commonly come across is dark skin discoloration around mouth, lip and chin regions of the face.
And, dark skin discolorations on the face are typically a result of Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH), melasma or a few other unfortunate circumstances.
So, let’s first explore the potential reasons why you’re experiencing skin discoloration around your mouth.
Then, I’ll reveal my 5 best treatment options directly afterwards (make sure to read through this article until the very end).
Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH) is the natural, inflammatory reaction that your skin has after encountering acne, irritation, ingrown hairs, or any other form of “injury”.
If you’ve recently developed skin discoloration around your mouth as a result of anything topical (skin creams, scrubs, peels or other chemicals) – there’s a decent chance that you’re experiencing PIH.
PIH is simply your body’s attempt at healing your skin. I know it doesn’t look pretty. But, PIH is absolutely one of the leading causes of shadows around your mouth, dark patches, and other discolored areas of skin.
Melasma is another potential reason why you may be experiencing skin discoloration.
If you’re a woman, odds are even stronger that you suffer from melasma, as melasma typically appears as a result of pregnancy, hormonal changes, birth control, or even excessive exposure to sunlight (among other reasons).
But yes, something as simple as getting too much sun can trigger melasma to appear. The harmful UV rays in sunlight are extremely damaging to your skin.
So, if you’ve recently undergone anything like pregnancy, hormonal changes, or lots of sun tanning – there’s a chance that melasma is the cause of your discoloration.
There are a few other reasons why you might be dealing with dark patches of skin.
So, let’s quickly cover the other popular causes of dark skin discolorations.
If you naturally have a dark skin tone, then you’re more likely to experience patches of noticeably darker skin on your face, or elsewhere on your body.
This is entirely normal, and happens because people with darker skin tones have higher levels of melanin (your natural pigment).
Many people believe that gut health is correlated with the appearance of your skin.
I’ve written before about the amazing impact that detoxing your gut can have on your life.
So, it hopefully shouldn’t be too difficult to understand why improving your gut health just might have a profound impact on the appearance of your dark skin patches.
I actually provide you with an easy treatment option for improving your gut health a little bit further down in this article. So, make sure to check out my product recommendation, and work on improving your gut health today (if you think that your gut isn’t in good shape).
The thyroid is a small gland that controls so many aspects of your health, maturation and even the characteristics of your skin.
It isn’t unheard of for people to suffer from dark skin conditions due to issues with the thyroid.
If you haven’t had your thyroid levels checked, you may want to speak with a doctor, and ask him or her about the connection between thyroid and skin.
It’s easy to accidentally get toothpaste all over your mouth while you’re brushing your teeth. It happens to just about everyone.
The problem with certain types of toothpastes is that they can occasionally cause chemical burns, skin irritation and similarly negative reactions.
If you think that your toothpaste might be the reason behind your skin discolorations, then you can try using a natural toothpaste like Jason Powersmile. It’s a pretty easy fix for a common problem.
Now that you’re familiar with what’s most likely causing your dark skin discolorations – you’re probably also ready to get rid of your dark skin patches, marks and discolorations.
So, let’s go over the 5 treatments that actually help you get rid of dark skin discolorations around your mouth, lips and chin.
Here we go…
Using a gel that exfoliates your skin chemically (such as this one) is a great option because you won’t have to physically exfoliate your skin with a loofah or konjac sponge – unless you want to, of course.
The goal here is to gently fade away your darkened skin spots through careful exfoliation. And, by using this gel which contains 8% alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), you’ll just have to apply it twice daily, after cleansing and toning. Simple, easy and effective.
Garden of Life Vitamin Code Raw B-Complex is a B vitamin complex that I typically recommend for quickly improving the health of your skin.
Because, if your skin discolorations are related to a nutritional deficiency, then using this Raw B-Complex is going to be your best bet for seeing a noticeable difference in your skin tone, texture and overall appearance.
Even if you aren’t totally sure if your skin discolorations are related to a vitamin deficiency, it’s a smart idea to use organic, food-based multivitamins like this one. This will help your skin look brighter, clearer and healthier.
EltaMD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46 Sunscreen is probably the most important product that you can use to prevent your dark skin problems from getting worse, and in some cases, turn your skin-related issues around.
Using a good mineral-based sunscreen like EltaMD will help to prevent harmful UV rays from further damaging your skin.
This is extremely important, because the UV rays found in sunlight are known to make skin pigmentations worse.
I really like EltaMD Broad-Spectrum Sunscreen because it’s primarily made with zinc oxide, which is a mineral. The zinc oxide in this sunscreen will create a physical barrier between your skin and UV rays. So, using a mineral-based sunscreen exactly like this one is probably the safest and most effective way to start protecting your skin from further damage.
Plus, this particular sunscreen also contains niacinamide, which is a form of vitamin B3 that can further suppress melanin in your skin (remember that melanin is a major cause of hyperpigmentations).
Amara Organics Vitamin C Serum is a trusted product for brightening the dark patches around your mouth, and noticeably improving the appearance of your skin.
Using a high-quality source of vitamin C serum can work wonders for dark skin pigmentations. This is because vitamin C can inhibit the melanin in your skin, and fade your hyperpigmentations over time.
Many people use vitamin C serum as a way to brighten patches of dark skin. So, this is another proven treatment option that can work great for you too.
Garden of Life Ultimate Probiotic Formula is quite simply the best whole food probiotic supplement that you’ll find.
Because, once you understand that there is a clear connection between your gut, brain and skin – your life will literally change.
Yet, there appears to be more than enough supportive evidence to suggest that gut microbes, and the integrity of the gastrointestinal tract itself, are contributing factors in the acne process.
There’s strong evidence that supports the idea that the health of your gut impacts your acne.
So, is it far-fetched to believe that your gut health may play a role in the appearance of the dark areas around your mouth?
It’s still a little bit difficult to tell. But, on personal experience, I know that my skin looks and feels healthiest when my gut is in good order.
These days, I’m extremely conscious of how much effort I put into taking care of my gut. And, I think that you can see some amazing improvements in your skin health just by taking care of your gut as well.
Luckily, using a high-quality probiotic supplement is the easiest and most effective way to start improving your gut health fast.
It will probably take you a few weeks before you see a noticeable difference in the quality of your skin. But, after supplementing with a good probiotic for 14 days or so, there’s a good chance your skin will start to improve.
Make sure to check with a dermatologist for the most accurate advice pertaining to your dark skin discolorations.
This article is intended to provide you with the best general informational advice that I can give.
But, you’ll obviously receive the most personal advice and product recommendations when you meet with a dermatologist who can help you on a professional level.
Overall, if you’re willing to test out the five treatments listed in this article, or even a single treatment, you’ll probably do quite well for yourself.
I’m confident that you’ll likely at least notice some signs of improvement in your dark skin discoloration around mouth, lips and chin regions of your face.
But of course – all skin is unique, so it’s tough to make promises in this industry. At the end of the day, the most that I can do is provide you with information that’s accurate to the best of my knowledge, and wish you the best on your journey. Because, I want the best for you, and would love for you to look amazing.
So, make sure to test out these treatments beginning today – and start making your skin look a whole lot better.
